Pale Oak

Pale Oak is a laminate with a light oak look. Pale floors help small or dim rooms feel bigger, and in laminate form this one is practical for apartments, rentals and family rooms.

12 mm thick, 2260 × 236 mm boards, 4D embossed-in-register surface, Välinge 5G click system, floating installation over underlay, four boards per carton (2.13 m²).

Good for small, darker spaces

Units and apartments in Hawthorn, Richmond or Prahran often have one window lighting a whole living room. A pale floor reflects that light back up. The long, wide boards also mean fewer joins, which makes a small room look less chopped up. It is a sensible choice for a first home or investment unit where you want something light and neutral that most buyers or tenants will like.

What to expect from laminate

The embossed surface gives a timber-like texture that lines up with the printed grain. It will not feel the same as real oak underfoot, and it cannot be sanded back. In exchange, it costs less, installs more quickly and has a surface that handles everyday wear. Light floors hide dust well but show dark grit, so a mat at the back door helps. Please wipe up spills promptly. Laminate is not suited to bathrooms or laundries.

Installation

Pale Oak floats over underlay on a flat, dry subfloor, with gaps at the walls for movement. In an apartment, check your building's rules on hard floors and acoustic underlay before you order. We work to those rules, so please let us know what they are at the measure and quote.
