This is Blank in our wide board format: 2200 mm long, 220 mm wide and 15 mm thick. As with the standard Blank plank, the name doesn't describe the colour. It sits with our light oak and blonde tones, but we'd ask you to see it at our showroom or take a free sample home.
The board has a 4 mm European oak wear layer over an engineered core. That construction keeps the board more stable than a solid board of the same width, which is why engineered oak is the usual choice for wide formats. Edges are micro-bevelled, joints are tongue and groove, and the surface is matte and brushed. Six boards per pack, 2.904 m².
Fewer, longer boards mean fewer lines across the floor. In a big open kitchen, dining and living space the floor reads calmer, and a light colour in a wide board makes the room look larger again. It makes less sense in a small bedroom, where a 2.2 m board can look out of scale and cutting waste goes up.
Wide light oak is common in new builds and knock-down rebuilds around Balwyn, Box Hill and Doncaster, and in rear extensions on older houses. If your home mixes big and small rooms, consider wide boards in the living areas and the standard Blank plank in the bedrooms, keeping the same colour at two scales. Other wide boards to compare are White Smoke, also a light tone, and Natural Oak, which is a touch warmer.
Longer boards are less forgiving of an uneven subfloor, so we check flatness across the whole area and grind or level where needed. On a slab the boards are usually glued down; on timber they can be fixed or floated. An expansion gap is left at the walls. Our free measure and quote covers this.
Vacuum and damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. The 4 mm wear layer can be sanded back and recoated later. See more light oak tones or the full engineered oak range.

Questions
Each pack covers 2.904 m². 50 m² plus about 7% for cuts is 53.5 m², which is 19 packs.
It is the same named colour in a larger 2200 × 220 mm format. As with any timber, check samples from both formats side by side if you plan to use them in adjoining rooms.
They need a flatter subfloor, because long boards show dips and humps more. We check flatness and level the floor where needed before laying.
