Blonde Oak Herringbone is a 9 mm hybrid from our 9 mm herringbone range. Despite the name it is not a pale floor. The blocks are a honey-gold oak, with cathedral grain, small dark knots and some blocks a shade deeper than others, which gives the pattern a warm, lived-in look.
Real oak herringbone is usually glued down block by block. These 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay already attached. That usually means a quicker install and suits situations where gluing is not an option. The board is highly water resistant, so a herringbone kitchen, bathroom or laundry is realistic. It is not for showers or anywhere with regular running water.
Herringbone is set out from a centreline, and every wall and doorway needs angled cuts. That means more waste than the usual 10% on a plank floor; we calculate the allowance at the measure. The subfloor also needs to be flat, because a zigzag shows every dip. We check this when we measure and quote for any levelling.
650 × 127 mm blocks, 9 mm total with a 7 mm SPC core and 0.5 mm wear layer. Embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. It cannot be sanded, so keep spare blocks.
For a lighter pattern floor see Pale Oak Herringbone. Real-oak options are under herringbone and parquetry, and similar colours under warm browns and the hybrid range.

Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% you would need 13.2 m², and 13.2 ÷ 1.486 = 8.9, so 9 packs, but herringbone needs a bigger allowance than that. We calculate the final number at the measure.
Not really. It is a honey-gold oak with visible knots. If you want a pale pattern floor, look at Pale Oak Herringbone or Sandstone Herringbone.
No. The blocks click together and float over the subfloor, with the underlay already attached.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
