Native Blackbutt Herringbone is a 9 mm hybrid from our 9 mm herringbone range. The blocks are honey to golden tan, some paler and some a little deeper, with straight grain and a few thin dark gum veins. It has more movement than an oak look but far less than spotted gum.
The first decision with any herringbone is direction. In a hallway the point of the zigzag normally runs down the length of the hall, towards the back of the house. In an open-plan room we usually line it up with the longest wall or the main view, so the pattern looks straight when you walk in. We work this out on site at the measure, along with where the pattern stops at doorways and where it meets other floors.
The 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached underneath. Herringbone needs more cutting than plank, so allow more than the usual 10% for waste; we calculate it at the measure. A flat subfloor matters more with a pattern, and we check it before quoting.
9 mm total, 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but it is not suited to showers. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare blocks. In apartments, please check the building's acoustic rules first.
For plank, see Native Blackbutt. The tones are close, but we cannot guarantee an exact match, so we suggest comparing the samples together. You'll find more options under warm browns and in the hybrid range.

Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% you would need 33 m², and 33 ÷ 1.486 = 22.2, which is 23 packs. Herringbone needs a larger allowance than that, so we calculate the final number at the measure.
A moderate amount. Blocks range from pale honey to golden tan with a few dark gum veins, which is calmer than our spotted gum herringbone.
No, hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating. If you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
