Blonde Oak is a 9 mm hybrid plank from our 9 mm plank range, and the name can be misleading: it is not a pale blonde floor. The colour is a greige taupe oak, a soft brown with a grey cast, with open cathedral grain, small knots and some boards a touch lighter than others.
Put it beside a true light oak and it looks noticeably deeper. Beside a grey floor it looks warm. That in-between tone is why we list it with our greige and grey floors rather than the light tones. It suits rooms with white or putty walls, black or brushed nickel tapware and stone benchtops, and it does not fight with existing timber doors. If you came looking for something closer to blonde, compare Nordic Oak. It is also a different look from our Blonde Oak Herringbone, which is a honey oak, so the two will not match.
1545 × 228 mm boards, 9 mm thick: 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer and 2 mm attached acoustic underlay. Embossed surface, micro bevel, Unilin click, floating installation. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. Five boards per pack cover 1.761 m², at 23 kg a pack.
The board is highly water resistant, so bathrooms and laundries are fine, but not a shower recess or anywhere with regular running water. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. It cannot be sanded, so keep a few spare boards. Questions
No. Despite the name it is a greige taupe oak, a mid tone with a grey cast. For a paler floor, look at Nordic Oak or Sandstone.
No. The herringbone is a honey-gold oak and this plank is a greige taupe. If you want plank and herringbone in one house, compare the samples together in the showroom.
30 m² plus 10% is 33 m². At 1.761 m² per pack, 33 ÷ 1.761 = 18.7, so order 19 packs.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
