Pale Oak 9 mm is the 9 mm version of our Pale Oak hybrid. It is a soft taupe oak look, a light-to-mid mushroom brown with long grain, a few small knots and some boards a shade darker than others. Despite the name it is not a blonde or white floor.
Pale Oak comes in two builds. This board is 9 mm thick with a 7 mm SPC core, 1545 × 228 mm, five boards per pack. Pale Oak 7 mm is 7 mm with a 5 mm core, 1524 × 228 mm, six boards per pack. Both have a 0.5 mm wear layer, the same 2 mm attached underlay and the same EN 685 and P3 ratings. The supplier uses one photo for both, so look at the two samples side by side in the showroom rather than judging on screen.
The taupe tone sits well with warm white walls, stone or cream benchtops and furniture in oatmeal, olive and walnut. It is a sensible middle ground if light floors feel too stark and brown floors feel heavy, and a mid tone like this is forgiving with dust and pet hair.
Embossed surface, micro bevel, Unilin click, floating installation. Five boards per pack cover 1.761 m², at 23 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower recess or anywhere with regular running water. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare boards. More options are on the light tones page and in the hybrid range.

Questions
The 9 mm board has a 7 mm core and 1545 × 228 mm boards, five to a pack. The 7 mm board has a 5 mm core and 1524 × 228 mm boards, six to a pack. Wear layer, underlay and ratings are the same.
Not really. It is a soft taupe, a light-to-mid mushroom brown. For a paler oak look, compare Nordic Oak or Sandstone.
18 m² plus 10% is 19.8 m². At 1.761 m² per pack, 19.8 ÷ 1.761 = 11.2, so order 12 packs.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer.
