Pale Oak 7 mm Hybrid

Pale Oak in our 7 mm hybrid range is a soft taupe oak look, a light-to-mid mushroom brown with gentle grain. Despite the name it is not a blonde or white floor. Some boards are a little darker, and the taupe sits well with warm white walls and stone benchtops.

Specifications

1524 × 228 mm planks, 7 mm thick: 5 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer and 2 mm attached acoustic underlay. Embossed surface, micro bevel, Unilin click, floating installation. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, slip rating P3 (AS 4586). Six boards per pack (2.085 m², 19.5 kg).

7 mm or 9 mm

Pale Oak also comes as Pale Oak 9 mm, a 9 mm board with a 7 mm core, 1545 × 228 mm and five to a pack. This board is 7 mm with a 5 mm core, 1524 × 228 mm and six to a pack. Wear layer, underlay and ratings are the same. The supplier uses one photo for both, so compare the real samples in the showroom.

Hybrid Pale Oak vs laminate Pale Oak

Our Pale Oak laminate is a different product again: 12 mm, 2260 × 236 mm boards on separate underlay, and kept out of bathrooms and laundries. The colours are not the same, so we suggest asking for both samples.

Installation

It floats on its attached underlay over a flat, dry subfloor. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower recess or anywhere with regular running water. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it.
