Sandstone is a light beige hybrid plank from our 9 mm plank range. It has a soft grey-taupe cast, a fine straight oak grain and almost no knots. The boards are very close to each other in colour, so the floor looks calm and even rather than rustic.
Who it suits
Sandstone is a safe choice when you are not sure where your furniture or paint colours will end up. It sits between warm and cool, so it works with white, greige or sage walls and with both oak and black furniture. It is a good choice for a house you plan to sell or lease, because very few buyers are likely to object to it. The trade-off is that it will not be the feature of the room. If you would like more character, a floor with a stronger grain may suit you better.
Sandstone in herringbone
The same colour comes as Sandstone Herringbone, in 650 × 127 mm blocks. A herringbone hallway leading into Sandstone plank in the living areas is a subtle way to add pattern without changing colour. The two are measured and packed separately.

1545 × 228 mm boards, 9 mm in total: a 7 mm SPC core, a 0.5 mm wear layer and a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached. Unilin click, floating installation, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. Five boards per pack cover 1.761 m², and each pack weighs 23 kg. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spares. Frequently asked questions
How many packs of Sandstone for an 18 m² bedroom?
Each pack covers 1.761 m². 18 m² plus 10% is 19.8 m², and 19.8 ÷ 1.761 = 11.2, so you would order 12 packs.
Is Sandstone more beige or more grey?
Mostly beige, with a soft grey-taupe cast. It reads warmer than our grey floors and cooler than a honey oak.
Can Sandstone plank and Sandstone Herringbone be used together?
Yes. They share the Sandstone colour and the same 9 mm build, so a herringbone entry can meet plank in the living room. We measure each area separately.
What warranty comes with Sandstone Hybrid?
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
