Sandstone Herringbone is a light beige hybrid with a grey-taupe cast, from our 9 mm herringbone range. The grain is straight and fine, with a faint sawn texture in the print and very few knots. It is a quiet pattern floor: the zigzag is visible but understated.
The same colour comes as Sandstone plank in 1545 × 228 mm boards. A common layout is herringbone in the entry or hallway and plank through the living areas, so the pattern marks the change of space without a change of colour. The two are measured and packed separately. Both are 9 mm with the same attached underlay, so they finish at the same height.
The 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached underneath. Herringbone runs from a centreline and every edge needs angled cuts, so it takes more waste than the usual 10% for a plank floor; we calculate it at the measure. A flat subfloor matters because the pattern shows up dips, and we check for any levelling before quoting.
9 mm total, 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare blocks.
For real oak in a pattern, see herringbone and parquetry. More pale floors are under light tones and in the hybrid range.

Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% you would need 11 m², and 11 ÷ 1.486 = 7.4, so 8 packs, but herringbone needs a bigger allowance than that. We calculate the final number at the measure.
Both are 9 mm with the same 2 mm attached underlay, so they finish at the same height. We work out at the measure whether the join needs a trim.
Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating. If you have heating or plan to install it, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
