Coffee Oak is a mid brown oak look with a warm, earthy tone, a step darker than Sunset Oak and much lighter than Raven Oak. This is the 8 mm hybrid version: a rigid SPC click plank with the underlay already attached. The same colour also comes as a 5 mm vinyl plank.
Specifications
1524 × 228 mm planks, 8 mm thick: a 6.5 mm board with a 0.5 mm wear layer and a UV coating, plus a 1.5 mm IXPE underlay attached. Unilin click, floating installation. Slip rating P3 (AS 4586). Five planks per pack (1.71 m², 23.14 kg). The manufacturer's warranty is 25 years for homes and 5 years limited wear for commercial use.
Where it suits
It suits kitchens, living areas, rentals and homes with pets and children. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, though not a shower recess or anywhere with regular running water. Please wipe up spills promptly, because water left on the joins can still reach the subfloor.
Installation
The planks click together and float over a flat, dry subfloor, with expansion gaps at the walls and trims at doorways and long runs. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. Hybrid is not timber and can't be sanded, so keep a few spare planks in case one ever needs replacing.

Frequently asked questions
How many packs of Coffee Oak 8 mm hybrid do I need for a 30 m² living area?
Each pack covers 1.71 m². 30 m² plus 10% is 33 m², and 33 ÷ 1.71 = 19.3, so you would order 20 packs.
What is the difference between Coffee Oak hybrid and Coffee Oak vinyl plank?
They are the same colour in a different board. The 8 mm hybrid is a rigid click plank that floats, with the underlay attached. The 5 mm vinyl plank is thinner and flexible and is glued to the subfloor. Hybrid is quicker over an existing flat floor; vinyl sits lower and feels solid underfoot but needs a very smooth subfloor.
What warranty comes with Coffee Oak 8 mm hybrid?
25 years for homes and 5 years limited wear for commercial use, from the manufacturer, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote, and our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
