Pricing depends on the area, installation and subfloor preparation, so we prepare a quote for each job. Please call us on 1300 690 160 or visit our Camberwell showroom to see this floor in person.
Nordic Oak Herringbone is a pale sandy beige oak look from our 9 mm hybrid herringbone range. The blocks are close in colour, with fine grain and very few knots, so the zigzag shows mostly through the bevelled joins rather than through contrast between blocks.
Pale herringbone gives you pattern without making a room feel smaller. It suits townhouse entries, apartment living rooms and studies with one window, and goes with white walls, light timber and linen. Pale floors hide dust but show mud and dark grit, so a mat at the door is a good idea. It also pairs with Nordic Oak plank: herringbone in the hallway, plank through the living areas. Both are 9 mm with the same underlay, so they meet at the same height, but we cannot guarantee an exact colour match, so we suggest comparing the two samples in the showroom first.
The 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached, so there is no glue. The pattern runs from a centreline and needs angled cuts at every wall and doorway, so allow more waste than the usual 10% for plank. We work out the final allowance at the measure, along with which way the zigzag should run. A flat subfloor matters, because a pattern shows every dip.
9 mm total, 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant, so it suits bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower recess. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare blocks. Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% you would need 13.2 m², and 13.2 ÷ 1.486 = 8.9, which is 9 packs. Herringbone needs a larger allowance than that, so we calculate the final number at the measure.
Less than a dark or high-contrast one. The blocks are close in colour, so the pattern reads softly through the joins.
The two are close. Nordic Oak Herringbone is a slightly more neutral beige with very quiet grain, and Pale Oak Herringbone is a touch warmer. Compare them side by side, as the difference is small.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
