Nordic Oak is a pale sandy beige oak look from our 9 mm hybrid plank range. The grain is fine and quiet, with soft cathedral figure, very few knots and little change in colour from board to board.
The look in a room
This is a colour for the Scandi and Japandi look: white or oat walls, light timber furniture, linen and rattan. It keeps a small or south-facing room bright without going as white as a whitewashed floor, and it has more beige warmth than grey, so it sits well next to warm whites. Pale floors hide dust and fluff but show mud and dark grit, so a mat at the back door helps. For a slightly deeper oak with a grey-taupe cast, compare Sandstone.
Plank and herringbone
Nordic Oak also comes as Nordic Oak Herringbone in 650 × 127 mm blocks. Herringbone in the entry and plank through the living areas is a common layout. Both are 9 mm with the same attached underlay, so they finish at the same height. They look close, but we cannot guarantee an exact colour match, so we suggest comparing the samples side by side first.
Specifications and care
1545 × 228 mm boards: 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, 2 mm attached acoustic underlay. Unilin click, floating, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. Five boards per pack cover 1.761 m², 23 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant, so it suits bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower recess. Is Nordic Oak warm or cool?
Slightly warm. It is a pale sandy beige, warmer than a grey oak and not as white as a whitewashed floor.
Can Nordic Oak plank run into Nordic Oak Herringbone?
Yes. Both are 9 mm with the same 2 mm attached underlay, so they sit at the same height. We cannot guarantee an exact colour match, so we suggest comparing the samples together first.
How many packs for a 20 m² living room?
20 m² plus 10% is 22 m². At 1.761 m² per pack, 22 ÷ 1.761 = 12.5, so order 13 packs.
What warranty comes with Nordic Oak Hybrid?
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
