Native Spotted Gum Herringbone is a warm spotted gum look from our 9 mm hybrid herringbone range. The blocks mix reddish brown, tan and deeper chocolate tones, with the rippled figure spotted gum is known for.
It suits entries, dining rooms and open living areas with plain walls and good light, where the pattern and colour can be the focus of the room. In a small bedroom, or next to busy tiles and rugs, it can feel crowded. Mid to deep browns like this hide everyday dust well. If you want the look as a plank, see Native Spotted Gum. The two share a name, but we cannot guarantee an exact colour match, so we suggest putting the samples side by side before planning both in one house.
The 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached. Herringbone is set out from a centreline and cut at every wall, so allow more waste than the usual 10% for plank; we calculate it at the measure. We also mix blocks from several packs as we go so lighter and darker ones spread out evenly.
9 mm total, 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant, so it can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower recess. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare blocks. You'll find more under warm browns and in the hybrid range.

Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% you would need 17.6 m², and 17.6 ÷ 1.486 = 11.8, which is 12 packs. Herringbone needs a larger allowance than that, so we calculate the final number at the measure.
The two have a similar warm brown spotted gum look, but we cannot guarantee an exact match. We suggest comparing the samples together in the showroom before you plan plank and herringbone in one house.
Yes, overall it is deeper and redder. NSW Spotted Gum Herringbone runs from pale straw to a reddish mid brown, with more contrast between blocks.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote.
