Chelsea Oak is the most rustic plank in our 7 mm hybrid range. The base colour is a greige with an olive, smoked-oak cast, broken up by plenty of dark knots, splits and grain lines. The busy look is intentional.
Specifications
1524 × 228 mm planks, 7 mm thick: 5 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer and 2 mm attached acoustic underlay. Embossed surface, micro bevel, Unilin click, floating installation. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, slip rating P3 (AS 4586). Six boards per pack (2.085 m², 19.5 kg).
Who it suits
Families with dogs, young kids or a back door that opens straight onto the garden tend to like it, because the knots and grain hide crumbs, dust, grass bits and pet hair far better than a clean, plain board. It suits farmhouse-style kitchens, rendered walls, linen and black steel. If you prefer a minimal look with little movement, it may not be the right choice. Urban Oak has a similar greige base with much quieter grain.
Laundries and mudrooms
People often ask about running it into the laundry. That is fine: the board is highly water resistant and can go in laundries and bathrooms. It is not for a shower recess or anywhere with regular running water, and if a hose floods the room, water can reach the subfloor through the joins. The P3 slip rating is worth knowing for a mudroom, but wet boots still make any hard floor slippery.
Installation
It floats on its attached underlay over a flat, dry subfloor. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. Browse other greige and grey floors or the full hybrid range.

Frequently asked questions
Is Chelsea Oak grey or brown?
It is a greige, sitting between the two, with an olive smoked-oak cast. It looks browner in warm light and greyer in cool daylight.
Will the knots and splits look repetitive?
Printed floors repeat eventually. We mix boards from several packs as we lay them so similar boards do not end up side by side.
How many packs for a 20 m² family room?
20 m² plus 10% is 22 m². At 2.085 m² per pack, 22 ÷ 2.085 = 10.6, so order 11 packs.
What warranty comes with Chelsea Oak Hybrid?
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
