Qld Spotted Gum is the warmest board in our 7 mm hybrid range. It is a rich brown with orange and red tones, strong gum figuring and a few darker streaks and knots.
1524 × 228 mm planks, 7 mm thick: 5 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer and 2 mm attached acoustic underlay. Embossed surface, micro bevel, Unilin click, floating installation. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, slip rating P3 (AS 4586). Six boards per pack (2.085 m², 19.5 kg).
Put it next to NSW Spotted Gum and the difference is clear. The NSW board is browner with more contrast between light and dark planks. Qld Spotted Gum is redder and a little more even. Neither is better; it depends on what else is in the room.
This colour works best alongside colours that are not also orange. It looks good with white or pale grey walls, green plants, navy or forest-green cabinetry and mid-century furniture in walnut or teak tones. It can clash with honey-coloured pine or cream tiles. Warm LED downlights can push it further toward orange at night, so look at a sample in your own room during the day and again in the evening.
It floats on attached 2 mm underlay over a flat, dry subfloor. Hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating; if you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it. Mid browns with this much figuring hide dust and small marks well. The surface cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare boards. If you want real Spotted Gum that can be sanded later, look at our engineered Spotted Gum. Other hybrids are in the hybrid range and on our warm browns page.

28 m² plus 10% is 30.8 m². At 2.085 m² per pack, 30.8 ÷ 2.085 = 14.8, so order 15 packs.
