7108 NSW Spotted Gum

7108 NSW Spotted Gum is one of two Spotted Gum-look laminates in our range. Spotted Gum is known for its colour variation, from pale creamy browns through to darker streaks, and a laminate in this style gives that native timber look in a floor that clicks together.

Each board is 12 mm thick, 2260 mm long and 236 mm wide, with a 4D embossed-in-register surface. The texture is pressed to follow the printed grain, so your hand feels the grain where your eye sees it. The joint is Välinge 5G click, and the floor is installed floating on underlay. Cartons hold four boards (2.13 m²).

Where it suits

A busy Spotted Gum pattern is good at hiding crumbs, sand and dog hair, so this board works well in family rooms, kitchens and rentals. It also reads well in the newer townhouses around Box Hill and Burwood, where the living area is often one long open space on a concrete slab. It is not suited to bathrooms, laundries or anywhere water can sit on the floor.

7108 or NSW Spotted Gum?

To choose between 7108 and NSW Spotted Gum, look at both in the same light. The difference is easier to see on the floor than in photos. Installation notes

Floating laminate needs a flat base. On a slab we lay a moisture barrier and underlay first, and on timber floors we check for loose or springy boards. An expansion gap is left around the walls and hidden under skirting or scotia. In most cases installation is quick, because there is no glue to cure. Care
