Pricing depends on the area, installation and subfloor preparation, so we prepare a quote for each job. Please call us on 1300 690 160 or visit our Camberwell showroom to see this floor in person.
Majestic Herringbone is the darkest colour in our 9 mm hybrid herringbone range. The blocks are a deep chocolate brown oak look with long grain and darker streaks. On a dark floor the zigzag is quieter than on a pale one, so the pattern comes across as texture rather than a bold feature.
Entries, formal dining rooms and studies suit it best, especially with pale walls and good natural light. In a narrow hall with no windows it can feel heavy. Like any dark floor, it shows dust, pet hair and grit more than a mid brown, so a good doormat is worthwhile. It pairs directly with Majestic plank, which is the same colour in 1545 × 228 mm boards, for example herringbone at the front door and plank through the living areas. The two are measured and packed separately.
The 650 × 127 mm blocks click together with a Unilin joint and float over the subfloor, with a 2 mm acoustic underlay attached. Herringbone is set out from a centreline and needs angled cuts at every wall, so allow more waste than the usual 10% for plank; we calculate it at the measure. The subfloor needs to be flat, because a pattern floor shows any dips.
9 mm total, 7 mm SPC core, 0.5 mm wear layer, embossed surface, micro bevel. EN 685 domestic heavy and commercial light, P3 slip. 18 blocks per pack cover 1.486 m², 17.5 kg a pack. The board is highly water resistant and can go in bathrooms and laundries, but not a shower. It cannot be sanded, so we recommend keeping a few spare blocks.
More dark options are under dark tones and in the hybrid range.

Questions
Each pack covers 1.486 m². At the usual 10% that is 8.8 m², and 8.8 ÷ 1.486 = 5.9, which is 6 packs. Herringbone needs a larger allowance than plank, so you will likely need more. We confirm the number at the measure.
Both are in the Majestic colour and the same 9 mm build, so they can run into each other. We recommend looking at the two samples together in the showroom before ordering.
No, hybrid is not approved for underfloor heating. If you have it or plan to put it in, our engineered European oak is the floor approved for it.
25 years limited for homes and 10 years limited for light commercial use, from the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and the finish wearing through under normal use, as long as the floor is installed and cared for to the instructions. The exact term is confirmed on your quote. Our installation work and your Australian Consumer Law rights are separate from it.
